Explore your funding options

Hearing aids are packed with incredible technology, and that comes with a cost. But we believe everyone deserves access to better hearing. We can help you explore different government funding options like the Enable New Zealand, ACC or Veteran Affairs funding, which provides subsidies for eligible individuals. Your private health insurance may also provide rebates for hearing care. The good news is that there are a number of different avenues available for managing the cost of your hearing care.

Enable government support

Enable New Zealand provides a hearing aid subsidy contribution towards the cost of your new hearing aids.

We can help you determine your eligibility and guide you through the application process.

ACC claims and funding 

If your hearing loss is a result of workplace noise exposure or accident, you may be eligible for funded hearing aids by ACC.

Veterans' affairs funding

You may be eligible for funding for hearing aids, hearing assistive listening devices and batteries if you have Qualifying Service and either:

  • have hearing loss or tinnitus because of this Qualifying Service,
  • or you get Weekly Income Compensation because hearing loss or tinnitus is stopping you from working.

Work and Income (WINZ) support 

A WINZ loan may be available to New Zealand residents to contribute towards the purchase of hearing aids.

In order to establish an individual’s eligibility to meet this criteria WINZ requires a letter and quote from your hearing specialists. Speak with us today to find out if you are eligible.

Private health insurance

Your private health insurance could cover some of your hearing care. Many providers offer extras cover for hearing tests, consultations, hearing aids, and more. Since coverage varies, we recommend checking with your health fund directly to understand your entitlements and potential rebates.
